Eligibility Criteria

Bachelor of Engineering & Technology:


Pass or appearing in 2011 in 10+2 examination of CHSE or equivalent, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects : Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together. 

Bachelor of Engineering & Technology (Lateral Entry)

Pass in 3 years diploma course in Engineering with at least 50% ( 45% in case of candidate belong to SC / ST category) marks in aggregate from State Council of Technical Education and Training (SCTE&VT), Orissa or equivalent and for Pharmacy, pass in 2 years diploma course in Pharmacy with minimum 50% ( 45% in case of candidate belong to SC / ST category) of marks in aggregate from Orissa State Board of Pharmacy (OSBP) or SCTE&VT for direct admission to the third semester degree courses. The candidate must be a native of Orissa. Results of final diploma examination must be available on the date of counselling. Candidates, whose results are not available on the day of counselling, will not be allowed to participate in the counselling. There is no reservation of seats in various categories in lateral entry to degree engineering/Technology, pharmacy courses. They are to submit the Permanent Nativity Certificate (Appendix - I) at the time of counselling. 
OR
Pass or appearing in 2011, for the Bachelor�s Degree examination of three years duration in Science from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC and have passed with a minimum of 50% (45% in case of candidates belonging to SC / ST category) marks in aggregate and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject. Further even though the student in this stream are admitted to second year course, they shall clear the subjects of Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of first year engineering program along with second year subjects. They are to submit the Permanent Resident Certificate (Appendix - I) at the time of counselling. 
Further the students having rank in lateral entry shall also be eligible for admission to the first year class in case the vacancies in lateral entry are exhausted. However the admission shall be based strictly on the basis of JEE rank only. 
It is mandatory for all candidates to appear in the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by Government of Orissa or All India Engineering Entrance Examination(AIEEE) conducted by CBSE, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi to get a seat either through counseling or NRI quota. 

Post Graduate Program

Master in Computer Application (3 Years) 60 Seats
M. Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering (2 Years) 18 Seats
M. Tech. in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (2 Years) 18 Seats
M. Tech. in Power System Engineering (2 Years) 18 Seats

Eligibility Criteria

Master in Computer Application
Pass or appearing in 2011, for the Bachelor�s Degree examination of minimum three years duration in any discipline from any University of Orissa or equivalent recognised by UGC and having passed in Mathematics at 10+2 level. Business mathematics at +2 level are not permitted. Should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) at the qualifying examination. There is no age limit to admission to MCA course. 

M. Tech Programs

GATE qualified and Non-GATE candidates with Bachelors degree or equivalent in the relevant field with at least 50% marks or 5.75 CGPA (45% marks or 5.25 CGPA for SC and ST Candidates) in the respective engineering branches or in MCA/M.Sc. Computer Science (for M.Tech in Computer Science /IT branch only) /M. Sc. Electronics (for M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering only) with at least 50% marks or 5.75 CGPA(45% marks or 5.25 CGPA for SC and ST Candidates)
